Does the fossil record provide evidence for Noah's Flood or millions of years of evolution?
Fossils of Sea Creatures High Above Sea Level:
On every continent we find fossils of sea creatures in rock layers that today are high above sea level. For example, most of the rock layers in the walls of the Grand Canyon contain marine fossils. This includes the Kaibab Limestone at the top of the strata sequence and exposed at the rim of the canyon, which today is 7,000–8,000 feet above sea level. [R.L. Hopkins and K.L. This limestone was therefore deposited beneath lime sediment-charged ocean waters, which swept over northern Arizona (and beyond). Other rock layers of the Grand Canyon also contain large numbers of marine fossils. The best example is the Redwall Limestone, which commonly contains fossil brachiopods (a type of clam), corals, bryozoans (lace corals), crinoids (sea-lilies), bivalves (other types of clams), gastropods (marine snails), trilobites, cephalopods, and even fish teeth.[S.S. These marine fossils are found haphazardly preserved in this limestone bed. The crinoids, for example, are found with their columnals (disks), which in life are stacked on top of one another to make up their “stems,” totally separated from one another in what can best be described as a “hash.” Thus, these marine creatures were catastrophically destroyed and buried by the deposition of this lime sediment layer.

Hummingbirds. Even though they are the smallest birds on earth, and the smallest of all warm-blooded creatures, they can still fly over 30 MPH, fly backward, and at birth, weigh less than a post-it note!
These amazing creatures flap their wings up to 80 times a SECOND, allowing them to hover over flowers filled with nectar.
They are able to determine sugar content, and only consume nectar that is at least 10% sugar. Less than that could not sustain their super-fast metabolism, with their heartbeat of around 1200 times a minute!
With this in mind, hummingbirds typically would not be able to survive a long cold night. HOWEVER, they “happen” to have a built-in mechanism called “Torpor” that goes into effect as they sleep, shutting down their metabolism to 1/15th the normal rate. It effectively slows down their heart rate from around 1,200 beats per minute… to 35 beats per minute.
Did this tiny creature evolve by chance? Or was he intricately designed and formed with purpose? Such beauty is often overlooked in today’s society, but if we only stop to consider the intricate details of a hummingbird, we can appreciate God’s infinite “wonders without number”.

3 Astounding Things About Hummingbirds You Didn’t Know
The tiny hummingbird has a two-step lung system that allows it to utilize all of the oxygen it breathes. This efficient design might not be necessary for life, but for a bird who is flapping its wings at up to 80 times a second, it certainly is a helpful feature!
The hummingbird can fly through trees or between branches at incredible speeds, but its eyes are on the sides of its head. How can it maintain the aeronautical ability that allows it to fly with such precision, while not flying into a tree limb either in front, or beside it?
Our eyes have one fovea, which allows us to focus in on one area while our peripheral vision is blurry. Not so for hummingbirds. They have two foveae which allows them to see in-focus straight ahead and side to side simultaneously!
And the 3rd astounding fact about hummingbirds that you probably didn’t know, is that their feathers grow-in as matched pairs, making sure they have an equal number on each side of their body.
10 primary feathers on each wing, and 10 tail feathers. It’s pretty important for a hovering hummingbird to have equal lift, and indeed, this need is provided for.

The Apostle Paul said “the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse.” -Romans 1:20
He was stating to the Romans that we can UNDERSTAND God better by studying the things we observe around us.
Science is defined as: “Knowledge about, or study of, the natural world based on facts learned through experiments and observation.” Science is confirming many of the things that we read in our Bibles. Science IS knowledge, and the Bible is FULL of knowledge.
Let’s look at a simple verse… What about the first verse in the Bible? Genesis 1:1 the foundation of the entire Universe. It says that “In the beginning God created the Heaven and the Earth”. But does the Bible know best?
Dr. Henry Morris once noted several interesting patterns within this verse: “In the beginning (well, there’s the origin of time) God created the Heaven (that’s space) and the Earth (there’s matter)”
In other words, the very origin of time, space, and matter can be found in the first verse of Scripture!
What is the origin of the Universe? It can be found in the FIRST VERSE, and it doesn’t start with random chance.
"By the word of the Lord were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of His mouth. . . . For He spake, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood fast" (Psalm 33:6-9)
